Chelsea winger Willian insists that his late equaliser against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday evening. The Brazilian levelled the scores on 86 minutes with a diagonal chip that dipped under Simon Mignolet’s crossbar.
It looked like a cross, but Willian told Chelsea.com he definitely meant to shoot, “It was a shot, for sure!” Willian said, smiling, “It was beautiful.
“I was a little bit lucky because the ball went right in the corner, but I am happy to come on and try and make the difference with my teammates, and then score a beautiful goal.
“We created some chances in the first half. They created some chances as well. It was a good game. Of course we came to try to win, but we know how difficult it is to play against Liverpool here. Big team, great players. I think one point is good. Now we have to carry on like this.”
