Brazil right-back Dani Alves insists that Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus can be as good as Ronaldo. Ronaldo won 2 World Cups with his country and is widely considered one of the greatest strikers of all time.

Alves, who will captain Brazil at Wembley tonight, says that Jesus can be just as good, “For all that he’s done, all that he’s achieved, there’s no pressure. He’s doing what he loves. I wasn’t joking when I called him the new Ronaldo. They have a similar drive. He’s already great and will get even better.”

Seleção coach Tite says City can be thankful to Palmeiras that the player was Premier League ready upon arrival in England in January, “City should be very pleased with Palmeiras and the coaches there who formed a player who is already at such a good level,.

“To the point which he came here with a natural fluency, I already mentioned the mental capacity he has and his technical ability. He didn’t need much time to adapt, he was already showing a very good level. Gabriel attacks the space, gives us that depth.”
