Brazil striker Gabriel Jesus is looking ahead to the 2018 World Cup in Russia and the realisation of a lifelong dream. The 20 year old is currently Brazil’s number 9 and the Manchester City man cannot wait to wear the famous yellow shirt in Russia.

Ahead of September qualifiers against Ecuador and Colombia, Jesus said, “What changed in me since my transfer to England? Nothing. I’m still the same player with the same dream of playing at the World Cup.

“We are talking about Brazil, it is normal that competition is high. But I will do everything to realise that dream. I am very happy to be realising my number 1 childhood dream of wearing this shirt.”

Jesus has settled into life in the Premier League, but admits the cultural adaption was tough, “England seemed too cold and I didn’t know the language. My adaptation was difficult, but my family and Fernandinho helped me a lot.”
