Brazil boss Dunga is confident that his side will continue to grow as the Copa América tournament progresses. The Seleção put in a fairly average performance in their opening match- a 0-0 draw with Ecuador in Pasadena.

With a short turnaround time between the end of the European season and the beginning of the Copa, Brazil were only able to play a single warm up match and only had a few days of training together as a squad in the build up to the Ecuador game.

Dunga is bullish about his team’s prospects, arguing that they will grow into the competition, starting with tonight’s game against Haiti. “Our game had some positive things and also some other things we can improve on.

“Even though we could not train much together due to people finishing the end of their seasons, we are doing a good job. We will only continue to grow throughout the tournament. We must win against Haiti by any means – we cannot afford another bad result.”
