Brazilian national team coach Dunga will announce his squad on March 3 for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Uruguay and Paraguay.
This week, the coach had meetings in the CBF headquarters in Rio de Janeiro, with the team coordinator, Gilmar Rinaldi, to discuss the planning and preparation in Granja Comary in Teresópolis. Gilmar said: “It will be on March 3 at 11 am, in the CBF headquarters. Players to be presented on the 21st of March for the start of training at Granja Comary.”
Brazil faces Uruguay on March 25 at the Arena Pernambuco in Recife, and then travels to Asunción to take on Paraguay at the Estádio Defensores del Chaco, on the 29th. Brazil currently occupies the third position in the table for the World Cup qualifiers with seven points, while Ecuador leads with 12 points. Uruguay are second with 9. The top four teams will be guaranteed direct entry to the competition in Russia, while the team that comes fifth must win a playoff against a nation from Oceania to secure their qualification.
