Chelsea are not willing to give up Brazilian attacking midfielder Willian, who has been one of the few standout performers for the club this season.
Willian was linked with moves to top teams like Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Juventus in the previous transfer window, but Roman Abramovich"s side intends to keep the player in London. According to English newspaper “The Times", the Premier League side will offer a weekly salary of €150,000 for the player to renew his contract with the team, currently led by Dutch manager Guus Hiddink. Willian has a contract with the Blues until the middle of 2018, and in addition to the salary increase [the player currently earns €100,000], Chelsea will propose the extension of his contract for two more years, until 2020. The former Corinthians man arrived at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2013 from Russian club Anzhi when Chelsea shelled out over €35 million to sign the then 25-year-old.
