Brazilian forward Neymar says that current club Barcelona have taught him the joy of teamwork. The Seleção captain joined the Catalan club from FC Santos in 2013 and he has developed year on year to become one of the world’s finest players.

Neymar made his way onto the podium for the Ballon D’Or vote in 2015, finishing third in the overall vote behind Cristiano Ronaldo and clubmate Lionel Messi, who bagged his 5th award. Speaking to FIFA.com at the ceremony, Neymar says that it’s the joy of teamwork he has developed over the last two and a half years that has improved him as a player.

“Above all it was about solidarity and feeling ecstatic when you’ve helped a team-mate. This Barcelona team has taught me a lot about that and I hope that I can take that with me whenever I’m called up to the national team.”

Neymar has formed one third of the most feared attack in world football, alongside Uruguayan Luis Suarez and Argentine Lionel Messi. Together, the trio have won 5 trophies in 2015, including the Champions League.
