Santos winger Geuvânio had received an offer to leave Brazil for China, but the proposal was rejected by the player.
According to Globo Esporte, Chinese second-division side Tianjin Songjiang, coached by former Real Madrid manager Vanderlei Luxemburgo, offered a fee of €16.5 million for the 23-year-old’s services, but Geuvânio has turned it down. In China, the player would’ve received a big salary compared to what he currently earns, but he rejected the offer in fear of being “hid” in the Asian country. The likes of Diego Tardelli, Ricardo Goulart and Éverton Ribeiro played for the Brazilian national team during their time in the Brasileirão, but lost their places since the move to Asia. Geuvânio’s goal is to reach the Seleção. His teammate Lucas Lima had also turned down a Chinese offer to keep his national team spot.
