Manchester United have yet again turned their sights to Felipe Anderson as they look to add more cut and thrust to their attack.

Reports in Italian outlet Gazetta dello Sport claim United are looking to go back in for the Lazio midfielder who they were tracking last summer.

Van Gaal tried to sign the 22 year old in the last transfer window as the Manchester club offered £29 million for the Brazilian on deadline day.

However as talks stalled they turned their attentions to Frenchman Anthony Martial.

Gazette also says that during that an agreement was made between ex-club Santos and Lazio in 2013 that would see the Brazilian side retain 42% of profit should the Rome based side sell their number 10.

So far this season the midfielder has notched five goals in 15 matches, which has drawn the attention of both Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich as well as long term admirers United.

Felipe Anderson’s current deal with Lazio expires in 2020 and with five years still to run combined with his buyout clause of £55 million suggests it will take a significant offer to lure the Brazilian away from the Stadio Olimpico.
