He has made a shock return to the squad for September’s double-header and is desperate to stick around long term.
Brazil international Kaká says he is hoping to do enough to convince coach Dunga to keep him around for next month’s World Cup qualifiers. The 33-year-old Orlando City star was a surprise inclusion in the squad for this month’s double-header with Costa Rica and USA. Kaka has enjoyed a fine start to life in MLS and says he can add valuable experience to the Seleção. He said: “I think I can contribute with my experience, but especially with my attitude. It is very special to return to the national team. I do not know what Dunga’s plans are. But if I get an opportunity in these games against Costa Rica and the United States I want to show that I deserve participate in the qualifiers.”
