Having won the first leg 1-0 in Mexico and needing only a draw at Morumbi to go through. São Paulo FC start slowly conceeding a penalty in the 28th minute that Rogerio Ceni superbly saved.

It was Leandro who made the break through in the 32nd minute with a right-footed shot from inside the penalty area. He fired into an open net after playing a one two with Ricardo Oliveira.

Mineiro scored the second in the 39th minute, firing a power drive shot from 10 yards out.

São Paulo FC finished the scoring in the 47th after a right cross by Souza, Ricardo Oliveira headed home.

Chivas finished the game a man down after defender Hector Reynoso was sent off for a vicious foul.

São Paulo will discover who they will meet in the final tonight, either Internacional or Paraguay’s Libertad (0-0 first leg).
