Despite being struck down with mumps for the last few weeks, Neymar will be fit to play for Brazil according to Gilmar Rinaldi.

23 year old Neymar has not played or trained for two weeks while he has been recovering from the condition and there are fears that he lacks fitness ahead of Brazil’s friendlies in September.

Rinaldi, who is the general coordinator of Brazil’s team selection, has dimissed these fears.
“I was able to discuss with the medical team. Our doctor contacted Barcelona and the information we got was that he will be able to play with the Seleção and he can even play some games with Barcelona ahead of trip with Brazil.”

Brazil play friendlies against Costa Rica and the USA next month ahead of the World Cup qualifiers in October.
