Josep Guardiola is no longer a candidate to be future manager of the Brazilian team. Asked at a press conference on Thursday, the Bayern Munich coach said he believes that the Seleção need a Brazilian in charge:
“The Seleção must be led by a Brazilian coach,” he said. “Daniel Alves is a friend who likes me a lot and I admire him as well. I never discussed the job with the CBF or with anyone from the Brazilian national team. Brazil has great coaches, it is a historical fact, this country has always produced great managers.”
