Agent Roger Wittmann claims TSG 1899 Hoffenheim attacking midfielder Roberto Firmino will move to the Premier League.

The 23 year-old has been strongly linked with Liverpool and Manchester United over recent weeks and months and seems increasingly likely to move on in the summer transfer window.

Reports have suggested that United were close to agreeing an €18 million fee with Hoffenheim for his services and the comments from Wittmann seem to back up the claims that he is set for a switch.

“All I can say is that he will go to England,” he said in an interview with German tabloid Bild, as reported by website CA2015.

Firmino has come to the fore due to his excellent form with Hoffenheim. This season, he has scored ten goals and provided 12 assists in 36 appearances in all competitions, while last term he netted 22 times.

This return earned him a maiden call up to the Brazil national team in October 2014 and his tally of three goals in six caps secured a place in Head Coach Dunga’s squad for the Copa América. He would go on to feature as a substitute in their opening match against Peru on Sunday, which ended with a 2-1 victory.
