Philippe Coutinho didn’t feature in Brazil’s opening Copa América tie with Peru on Sunday night after sustaining an injury in training.
The Liverpool midfielder was expected to start for the South Americans after starring and scoring in their warm-up game against Mexico last week. After the win over Peru, the Seleção will now face Colombia on June 17 and Venezuela on June 21. Brazil coach Dunga said it does not jeopardise his chances of playing in the tournament. He said: “All the players are available, there is no risk of cutting.”
