Flamengo president, Eduardo Bandeira de Mello, met with São Paulo FC bosses on Wednesday to negotiate the potential transfer of playmaker Paulo Henrique Ganso.

The transfer talks focused on the 32% owned by the Paulista club, the remainder of Ganso’s ownership rights being in the possession of the DIS group. The offer of €3 million was considered inadequate, perhaps unsurprising given that São Paulo paid more than €7m in 2012 to bring in the attacking midfielder from Santos.
