Brazil legend Zico is planning to throw his hat into the ring to become FIFA president after Sepp Blatter resigned from the post yesterday.

Zico is currently manager of FC Goa in India and can use his work around the world as an example of how he can improve FIFA to help every country. Zico has worked in Uzbekistan, Qatar, Japan, Greece and Iraq during a varied coaching career.

Zico revealed his plan to apply for the post on Instagram.
“Why not? I have always lived with football. It’s a passion. I have exercised with respect in Brazil and in other countries. I thought about it while having dinner with Sandra (his wife). My wife and my children support me. I was sports minister, I led clubs, including Kashima in Japan. I think football before politics. I have not yet done anything formally but I plan to apply.”
