Chelsea would consider selling Filipe Luís and Oscar in the summer transfer window to help fund a squad revamp, according to reports.

The Mirror’s website claims that the Blues are targeting a goalkeeper, defender, midfielder and forward and will need to move on some players to have the necessary financies to conclude the deals they desire.

Lyon attacker Alexandre Lacazette, Real Madrid duo Gareth Bale and Raphaël Varane and Atlético de Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann are the highest profile names Chelsea are believed to be interested in, while Valencia goalkeeper Vicente Guaita and Barcelona winger Pedro are also under consideration.

For manager José Mourinho to secure at least a few of these names and with UEFA Financial Fair Play Regulations to abide by, sales will be inevitable.

With that in mind, Filipe Luís is an obvious candidate to move on. The 29 year-old was signed from Atlético de Madrid in July 2014 for a reported fee of €20 million, but has struggled to make an impression.

Spain international César Azpilicueta has often been preferred at left full-back, with Luís featuring in just 13 matches in the Premier League and 24 times overall in all competitions.

A move back to Atlético, where Guilherme Siqueira has struggled to impress, has been mooted and would seem an obvious solution for all parties involved.

The case for selling Oscar is perhaps not quite as clear-cut. The 23 year-old has featured heavily for Chelsea since arriving from Internacional for a reported fee of €25 million in July 2012 and has won three major honours with the club.

This season, he’s played 41 times in all competitions and scored seven goals, as well as providing nine assists.

The suggestion is however, that he is not considered unsellable, with a possible swap deal involving Juventus midfield Paul Pogba being mooted, while a switch to Paris Saint-Germain has also been rumoured in the past.
