Atlético Madrid have been following the 21-year-old defensive-midfielder and has now made an offer to sign him, says reports in Brazil.
As mentioned in Globo Esporte, São Paulo has an offer from Atlético Madrid of about €15 million for Rodrigo Caio. However, the Brazilian club are believed to be wanting a fee close to €20M, the same amount offered by AS Monaco last year, before the player ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament that put him out of the field for 7 months. Club president Carlos Miguel Aidar, when asked about the subject, said that Atlético have been monitoring the player, and that he expects an official proposal from them.
