Orlando City SC defender Rafael Ramos has hailed Brazlian Kaká for helping him settle in the United States.

The duo have been two of Orlando’s standout performers in the early rounds of their maiden Major League Soccer (MLS) campaign.

Both Ramos and Kaká have featured regularly under manager Adrian Heath, with the former missing just one match and the latter playing all but eight minutes.

For Ramos, Kaká has been a big influence on him so far at Orlando and the 20 year-old credits the veteran with giving him confidence and ensuring he has been able to show his best form.

“I am big friends with Kaká and that has been so important for me,” he said, as reported by website Tribal Football.

“He has helped me a lot, both on and off the field and, when you have a great player like that helping you, that only gives you confidence.

“It is also important that we speak the same language. That has been a big factor for me because it makes everything so much easier and, when I go out on the pitch, I feel confident and strong.”

Both Ramos and Kaká were signed by Orlando last year. The latter agreed terms with the club in July 2014, before leaving Milan to temporarily move to São Paulo on loan, while Ramos was secured from Benfica a month later.

The two players are expected to line up for Orlando when they face Columbus Crew in their next MLS outing at Mapfre Stadium on Sunday.
