Ricardo Goulart is on a roll with Guangzhou Evergrande, his club in China. Yesterday the Brazilian scored two goals in a 4-3 win over Kashima Antlers in Asian Champions League.
The Asian Champions League is the flagship club tournament on the continent and Goulart’s two goals were instrumental to propel his team to victory against Antlers from Japan. Zhao Xuri and Elkeson scored the other goals for the home side.
With the feat, Goulart has scored six goals in three games in the tournament. Previously, Ricardo Goulart had left his mark on a 1-0 victory against FC Seoul. But it was against Western Wanders that Goulart truly shone, netting all three goals in a 3-2 win.
“I want to score more goals in every match,” said Goulart. “Of course, the collective always comes first, but it is very important to be recognized after good work. Today I received another award for best player of the match.”
