Agent Stefano Castagna believes midfielder Felipe Anderson will stay at Lazio.

The 21 year-old, who has been linked with the likes of Atlético de Madrid, has scored seven times in 21 appearances this season, including a goal in the Derby della Capitale draw [2-2] against Roma.

With Anderson’s current form making him one of Serie A’s standout young players this term, reports have suggested Lazio may struggle to retain him during the summer transfer window.

Castagna, who represents Anderson, insists however, that the Brazilian will remain in Rome and does not necessarily believe he needs an improved contract to secure his short-term future.

"He has three and a half years on his contract, I don’t think there are any problems," he told Tuttomercatoweb, as reported by Football Italia.

"Felipe is a Lazio player, and he has really taken this team to his heart.

"An improved deal? This isn’t the time to think about those kind of situations, he must only think of what happens on the pitch, as Lazio have a lot of goals to achieve.

"One thing is certain, the relationship with the [club] leadership is good."

Anderson was signed by Lazio from Santos for a reported fee of €7.5 million in July 2013. The Santa Maria native, who won four major honours at Santos, has scored eight goals in 41 appearances so far in Italy.
