Queen’s Park Rangers midfielder Sandro is nearing full fitness after playing his first football in three months on Tuesday afternoon.

The 25 year old has had an injury hit start to his career at QPR. On his debut against Manchester United in September he left the field after 74 minutes. His current knee injury was sustained against Newcastle in November.

The Brazilian managed 30 minutes in a private friendly match against Brentford at QPR’s training ground. The match finished 4-1 to Brentford but Sandro came through unscathed.

QPR fans will now hope Sandro can add bite to their midfield as they battle relegation.
