Villarreal defender Gabriel Paulista has given a massive hint on where his future will lie by stating that he has a desire to play in England.
In recent weeks the Brazilian has been linked with Arsenal and Barcelona and Paulista’s comments suggest he may well be playing for the London club very soon.
The 24 year old defender has been in great form this year and seemed eager to add fuel to the rumours.
“I will not lie to you. Before the end of the year, before the whole story of interest of Barcelona and Arsenal even happened, my manager was here and had a conversation with him. One of the things I said was my dream to play in England. I have this desire. Now this, for me it was a great joy.”
Things have changed drastically for Paulista ever since he was released by Santos as a youngster. He is now hoping to add national recognition to his C.V.
“That’s what I think of every day. Every day I give myself more in training, in games, to try to be the best. I have in my head that I want to be the best and defend for my country.”
