Chelsea defender Filipe Luis has given his support to Christiano Ronaldo in the race for the Golden Ball.
The Brazilian left back feels that the Portugese forward deserves the title this year but still believes Messi is the better overall player.
“This year, Cristiano deserves the Golden Ball, but the best in the world and the best we have seen so far is Messi. For his season, Cristiano deserves the award. And if last year, he won the Golden Ball without winning any title, this year he will take the prize.”
Luis was talking to “Radio Marca” and also recalled losing the Champions League final last year with Atletico Madrid.
“Sergio Ramos’ goal hurt a lot. That was a painful defeat.”
