Former Middlesbrough player Doriva has joined Botafogo-SP as their new head coach.
Upon arrival Doriva also praised the work that his predecessor Alexandre Ferreira did. Doriva stated that it would benefit everyone if Ferreira could assist him at the club.
“It will be the best possible relationship. We"ve talked about it. I am an aggregator and want people by my side to help me. Me and Ferreira could collaborate with our work. He could help immensely. Let"s work together."
Doriva is due to start working on December 15th and is looking forward to meeting his new team.
“I hope to take advantage of them [the players] and enjoy their talent in the Paulistão, which is a very competitive league."
