The Women’s World Cup kicks off in six months time and Brazilian superstar Marta is confident that her team can finally claim the trophy.
Marta is one of the best ever players in the women’s game and has been voted FIFA player of the year five times. The 28 year old told Bleacher Report that she won’t be satisfied without a World Cup though,
“I also need this for my career. Let’s just hope this time around it goes my way.”
Marta has scored 82 times for the Samba girls. She is also the joint top goalscorer in the history of the World Cup with 14 goals.
