Mauro Silva has expressed faith in Carlos Dunga’s command of Brazil after Brazil won its first two friendlies under the newly reinstated coach.
Earlier in September, Brazil defeated Colombia and Ecuador 1-0. Mauro Silva is upbeat about Dunga’s new reign, as reported by the Estado de Sao Paulo. For the 1994 world champion, Dunga is the right person to restore trust in the Brazilian players after the World Cup failure.
“Dunga has already shown he is able to do a good job,” said Mauro Silva.
“He knows he can learn and listen. This is why he can be a reference for players who have suffered defeat after the 7-1 degeat.”
“They have an example with Dunga who is a player who was widely criticized after the 1990 World Cup and he was able to return as captain in 1994 and win the trophy,” explained Silva.
