Neymar inspired Brazil to victory in new head coach Dunga’s first match in charge against Colombia early this morning as the Barcelona ace scored the only goal of the game in Miami from a set piece.

The 22-year-old, who was captaining his country for the first time, scored a superb free kick with just seven minutes remaining to earn Brazil a 1-0 win.

And when the youngster spoke to SporTV after the game he insisted his country can be champions again.

Goal.com quoted Neymar, he said on the captaincy: “It’s a big responsibility and I am very happy to have the confidence of the coach, the team and the coaching staff.

“But we have 11 players and a coach, too. All of us have the power to speak up, because we are a team. Together, as a group, we will become champions.”

Neymar also come face to face with Juan Camilo Zúñiga, who ended his World Cup campaign, again.

However, the Colombia took the opportunity to apologise to the forward once more before the game kicked off and the pair shared a nice embrace.

Neymar added: “Zuniga said sorry and wished me a good game.

“Colombia always plays a little more physically, however, that’s just part of the game. You just have to be smart and careful.”

Brazil are next in action on Tuesday night against Ecuador in New Jersey and will hope to extend their winning run under new head coach Dunga.
