Atlético Mineiro forward Diego Tardelli has revealed that new Brazil head coach Dunga is looking to play a false nine during his tenure as national team manager.

Tardelli received his first international call-up for four years after Dunga returned to the national team hot seat.

When the 29-year-old spoke to Goal.com, he revealed that the former World Cup winner is looking to play somebody as a false nine against Colombia and Ecuador.

Tardelli said: "Dunga made me comfortable and allowed me the freedom to move around the pitch [in training on Tuesday].

"He said I did not need to be in a fixed position, standing there up front. You will rarely see me operating as a reference point, I like to move around.

“Sometimes, Neymar dropped left, then went back inside and I moved to the right. That"s what Dunga wants."

Tardelli and Neymar should get the opportunity to show their budding partnership on Friday when they play the first match of Dunga’s second reign in charge.
