Brazil and Flamengo legend Zico is set to coach FC Goa in the first ever Indian Super League (ISL) season.

The Brazilian has agreed a deal to take up the reigns at the Indian club. The 61-year-old won 71 Brazil caps. He played at the 1978, 198 and 1986 World Cup.

Zico also has a formidable track record in coaching. He has coached in Brazil, Japan, Tukey, Russia, Greece, Iraq and Qatar.

“Zico signed the contract in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil,” said a statement from the ISL franchise.

“Representatives will travel to Brazil shortly to help Zico complete visa formalities and bring him to Goa.”
