Barcelona Director of Football Andoni Zubizarreta has asserted that Daniel Alves’s contract expires in June 2015.
There had been speculation that the full-back, who was linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, could qualify for an extension if certain criteria is met this season, but Zubizarreta insists that this is the final year of his current deal.
“We’re delighted Dani Alves is here and the performances he is giving,” he said, as reported by Marca.
“His contract ends in 2015. There’s no tension. He has character and sometimes you disagree with him.
“There are no clauses about games played in his contract. It ends in 2015.”
