After being called up on Sunday afternoon, Santos forward Robinho was one of the first to arrive for duty with the Brazil squad later that day.
And the former Real Madrid forward admitted he has missed playing with Brazil"s current craque, Neymar, who were club teammates in 2010 and also played together at the Copa America in 2011.
"I missed seeing Neymar, I missed playing with him, for the quality he has," the 30-year-old said.
Robinho has been called up in the place of Zenit forward Hulk, who injured a thigh during his club"s Russian league match with Lokomotiv Moscow this past weekend.
Excited to be back, the Santos player spoke of his happiness at being in the national fold under the command of Dunga. During the 1994 World Cup winning captain"s first spell as coach, Robinho was the second highest scorer, behind Sao Paulo no. 9 Luis Fabiano.
"I love playing for the seleção, I love doing my best. Dunga is the kind of coach who puts those who are playing the best on the field," Robinho told Globo Esporte.
Still fresh in the memory of Brazilians is the 7-1 thrashing they suffered at the hands of Germany in the World Cup semi-final in July.
Robinho said he watched the match with his son, Robson, and that he hopes to help the squad and the fans forget one of the darkest days in the history of Brazilian football.
"I am here [with the Brazil squad] because of my football and to help contribute to the unity and formation of this group of players," he said.
