In what is traditionally the least revered game at the World Cup, hosts Brazil are presented with an opportunity to restore some national pride when they take on Holland in the third-place play-of in Brasilia tomorrow evening.

With the 7-1 mauling at the hands of Germany still fresh in everyone’s mind, Brazil may actually be relieved to have the chance to make it up to their 200 million residents, and head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari is expected to make several changes to his starting team for the match.

In what is likely to be his final game as national manager, Scolari may give caps to the likes of Henrique, Hernanes, Bernard, Willian and Jo as Brazil search for a sixth win at the tournament.

Thiago Silva is likely to return in order to avoid any chance of a repeat of the seven goal shipping on Tuesday night.

In terms of a starting XI, Scolari might pick something along the lines of the following:

Julio Cesar; Daniel Alves, Thiago Silva, David Luiz, Marcelo; Luiz Gustavo, Hernanes; Willian, Oscar, Bernard; Hulk.
