Roma defender Maicon has admitted he is not impressed with how the referee handled Juan Zuniga"s decisive tackle on Neymar.
The talismanic forward will miss Brazil’s World Cup semi-final against Germany through injury and Maicon is furious with the nature of the challenge that has ruled him out.
"He is irreplaceable," he said to Gazzetta dello Sport, as reported by Football Italia. "Again I cannot understand how the referee at least didn’t caution Zuniga [responsible for the challenge that injured the Barcelona man].
"Neymar is accuse of over-reacting but after each game he has to spend a couple of days in the infirmary for treatment for the beatings."
