Neymar has insisted Brazil are ready to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup and won’t feel any ill effect following their emotionally draining round of 16 victory over Chile.

Luiz Felipe Scolari’s men needed penalties to defeat the South Americans last Saturday in a sensational battle.

They now face Colombia tomorrow evening hoping to secure their spot in the last four of the tournament and the Barcelona ace is sure they will be ready.

The 22-year-old was quoted by Football Espana, he said: "I’m recovered [from the Chile game] and no one is emotionally troubled.

"Against Chile there was a lot of excitement and everyone has a different way of expressing it.

"We’re all ready to approach Colombia and hopefully move on to the semi-finals."

The attacker went on to reaffirm his desire to lift the World Cup in his home trophy before insisting they are ready.

Neymar added: "All I want is to win the World Cup so we are champions. That Brazil are champions, that’s all I want.

"Scolari has passed us the report on Colombia and we are ready."
