Chelsea midfielder Oscar is calm despite pressure increasing for him to lose his starting place for Brazil to club team mate Willian.

The young attacker has struggled for form recently and hasn’t impressed in Brazil’s two World Cup warm up matches.

However, he told ESPN Brasil that he isn’t worried about losing his spot to his club team mate. Oscar did praise Willian though, and admit he is currently playing very well.

"A friendly or a training session will not see me lose my place in the team," Oscar said.

"[The press] are trying to take me out of the team and replace me with Willian. They can keep talking about that, but I"m calm and confident.

"Willian is playing very well, but everyone has his moment."

Although Oscar remains calm, pressure is mounting for Willian to be handed his first start in a Brazil shirt and it would appear the former Internacional midfielders place is up for grabs.

Oscar will hope Luiz Felipe Scolari retains hope with him and starts him in the World Cup opener against Croatia on Thursday.
