Brazil boss Luiz Felipe Scolari has moved to play down the fact that some fans booed his team in the 1-0 friendly win over Serbia yesterday evening by stating that the majority of supporters are satisfied with the state of Selecao before the World Cup gets underway on Thursday.
Scolari, addressing a media conference after the game, said: “It’s normal and the players don’t take it to heart. I think, at the end, of the 67,000 fans, 65,000 will go home satisfied.”
And, asked to explain recent father Oscar’s exclusion after the break, Scolari added: “I have good players in Oscar’s position. I have an excellent team.”
“Both teams went for it and I was impressed by Serbia. When I saw their line-up at the start I knew it would be a tough match to win.”
