Brazil Head Coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has insisted Neymar needs to avoid getting involved in altercations.

The 22 year-old played a starring role in the Seleção’s 4-0 win over Panama on Tuesday, but was booked for his part in a needless scuffle.

Speaking after the game, Scolari noted that he is encouraging Neymar to avoid such incidents and is adamant the forward should not allow opposition players to wind him up.

“We’re working with him in that aspect,” he said, as reported by AS and Football Italia.

“Opponents will provoke him but he can’t react.”

Neymar is next in action for Brazil on Friday, when they face Serbia in São Paulo.
