Brasileiro 2005 champions Corinthians suffered a shocking first game defeat in their Sao Paulo state championship game, against Noroeste 0-1.
A single goal from Luciano Santos in the 37th minute of the first half was enough to seperate the two teams.
Corinthians who were fielding an almost full strength team including Tevez, Nery and Alberto struggled in front of goal.
