Pelé would like to see Brazil go up against Germany in the World Cup final this summer.

The legendary 73-year-old was speaking to BBC Sport and believes there are two teams in a “beautiful moment” alongside his own country Brazil.

“I think it is more or less equal. Maybe Brazil have a little bit more emotion,” Pele chuckled when discussing Germany.

“The World Cup is a tournament for everybody all over the world and this moment is important for us (Brazilians) because Brazil are going to play at home.”

Pelé also believes it is important to witness two special teams in action during the biggest international football tournament in the world.

He added: “And then we have two beautiful moments now because Germany is one of the best teams at the moment together with Spain, that is what I think.

“Brazil has a good team and I think it will be fantastic, it will very good if Brazil could come to the final with Germany, it would be fantastic. We hope for this.”

Seleção fans will hope they can cheer on Brazil in the final and with the World Cup just three weeks away the excitement is building.
