Sandro may not have enjoyed the best of seasons with Tottenham Hotspur but his campaign has ended with a relatively positive note.

It was announced this evening on social media through Tottenham’s official twitter account that the Brazilian had won the Supporters Clubs Goal of the Season award.

Sandro’s sumptuous long-range strike against Manchester United earlier in the campaign was picked as Spurs best goal of the 2013/14 season by their supporters all over the globe.

The former Internacional midfielder was presented with the award at Tottenham’s Training Centre on Saturday.

Stuart Herbert, who was representing Proud Lilywhites, presented Sandro with his award and despite a frustrating season the Brazilian can be happy in the knowledge that his wonder strike was the best Spurs goal of the season.

As acknowledged, the 25-year-old hasn’t had his best campaign with the White Hart Lane club and in recent months has come to blows with current boss Tim Sherwood.

It was only this week the Brazilian was quoted as admitted Sherwood would leave in the summer and although Sandro has been linked with a return to Brazil, he is a massive favourite with Tottenham fans and they’ll hope he can once again become a massive player for the club next year.
