Neymar is confident of regaining his fitness for the World Cup, whilst once again he reaffirmed that he did nothing wrong regarding his transfer from Santos to Barcelona.

The 22-year-old is currently out injured but controversy continues to follow him over his summer transfer.

However, in an exclusive interview with CNN the Barcelona forward refuted those claims and discussed the pressure on him at this summer’s tournament.

Goal.com quoted Neymar, he said: “I will be recovered for the World Cup. The only problem is that I cannot help Barcelona.

“I hope to get to the World Cup with a great level and help my team-mates win the World Cup.

“I know the responsibility I have in the national team, as well as my colleagues. We are a group, one needs the help of the other and we are preparing so we can win the World Cup.”

Once more the Brazilian was forced to defend his transfer to Barcelona but he insisted his management did nothing wrong.

“Everything was correct and we have done nothing wrong,” Neymar continued.

“The way in which Santos handled this left me very sad, but what are you going to do?

“I cannot answer for them, but I can speak for myself and my father and say that we were really sad the way they wanted to resolve this.”
