Brazil head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has insisted he is “100 percent sure” he will win the World Cup this summer.
The 65 year-old, who led the Seleção to the title in 2002, maintains he only returned because he believes Brazil have the potential to win it again.
“I wouldn’t accept to coach Brazil if I didn’t think I could win the World Cup,” he said, as reported by Fox News. “I took the job because I’m 100 percent sure that I will win the World Cup with Brazil.”
Brazil’s first Group A match is against Croatia at the Arena Corinthians on Thursday 12th June. They will also face Mexico and Cameroon.
