Neto’s form with Fiorentina has caught the eye recently and his agent Stefano Castagna has praised his goalkeeping client for bouncing back following some criticism at the start of the campaign.
The Brazilian hasn’t always been a favourite in Florence but his recent form has been impressive and earned him praise from all corners.
Castagna told Firenzeviola.it about the possibility of his client extending his contract, he said: “We are talking to Firoentina. I don’t think there will be any problems.
“Our desire is to remain here in Florence. The boy is happy and wants to continue his career in a Viola shirt.”
Football Italia quoted Neto’s agent and Castagna praised Viola manager Vincenzo Montella for always believing in the 24-year-old keeper.
He added: “We must thank Vincenzo Montella and the club, they have always defended him and always believed in him. That has been key to the boy’s growth.
“I honestly wasn’t downbeat when he was criticised at the start of the season. Just as now I am not ecstatic now that he has proven himself to everyone.
“I know the boy’s qualities very well, he is a great keeper who can still get better and has so much to give.”
