It appears that Chelsea’s David Luiz is being linked with a move to Barcelona by almost every website possible. Along with teammate Ramires, it is being widely tipped that the Catalan giants will offer something in the region of €30million for centre back Luiz and latest speculation suggests that any move will happen prior to this summer’s World Cup tournament.
An early deal would certainly minimise disruption to the player and to his current club, who would have an optimum period of time to find a suitable replacement. Football Direct News is one of the websites predicting a June move for Luiz, whose future at Chelsea is secure, regardless of any summer transfer activity.
The defender joined Chelsea from Benfica in 2011 for around €25 million and has gone on to win the FA Cup, Europa League and Champions League with the London club.
