Coach Muricy Ramalho has confirmed that the new signing will make his debut for the club against CSA on Wednesday.

Alexandre Pato is unavailable to play for São Paulo in the state championship having reached the maximum number of games in the competition with his former club Corinthians.

He is, however, available for games in the national competition and his coach Muricy Ramalho will hand the player a start.

Ramalho recognises that the player has done everything asked of him in training thus far. Pato has put in some fine performances and has impressed his new coach with his technical ability.

“He’s training hard and then we arrive at the day of the game and I say ‘you won’t play’. I don’t want these situations as manager of the team. Common sense requires that he has a place in the team. We can’t have him training hard and then just use him for 15 minutes, can we?!” said Ramalho.
