The Brazil legend says he could be tempted to take up a permanent position with the Ligue 1 champions once his ambassadorial work for the World Cup is over.
Paris Saint-Germain appear close to striking a deal with Ronaldo, even if it’s the one that few had in mind. Former Brazil striker Ronaldo is reported to be considering taking up a position with the French outfit.
The former Real Madrid and Barcelona striker has been mooted as a possible candidate to take up the role of sporting director which was vacated by compatriot Leonardo last summer.
The 37-year-old says he is committed to boosting Brazil’s image ahead of the World Cup later this year but claims that he could be tempted to take up a permanent position at the Parc des Princes afterwards.
“I have a good relationship with the president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, but first I want to finish my work as an ambassador for the World Cup in Brazil,” he told Canal Plus. “Afterwards I’ll take a couple of months and I’ll see what to do.
“But I do not rule out this option. I’m already a voluntary ambassador of PSG, I love the city of Paris and I have great affection for the team.”
“I love this spontaneous relationship that I have with the club. I’m a fan and a supporter of PSG, but an unpaid one right now.”
World Cup winner Ronaldo ended his glittering career at Corinthians in 2011.
