Brazil captain Thiago Silva has lamented the absence of Edinson Cavani from PSG and thinks his fellow South American makes a huge difference when fit- although Silva did mention that the French club have able replacements.
Uruguayan Cavani has been missing since the end of January with a thigh problem that will see him miss PSG’s Champions League first leg fixture at Bayer Leverkusen, and Silva told reporters: “His absence is a heavy one because Cavani is not like other players.”
“He works extremely hard and does a great job defensively too. He runs alot and helps the team link, but we must trust those who can also play there like Menez and Lucas Moura.”
