Barcelona defender Daniel Alves insists "you have to be very special to win" La Liga.
Barça are currently joint top of the table alongside Atlético de Madrid, with Real Madrid just one point adrift in 3rd.
Alves believes Barcelona’s experience as holders could be key and insists the departure of president Sandro Rosell will not affect their progress this season.
"This is a League where you have to be very special to win it," he told Barça TV, as reported by Football Espana. "When you overcome such difficult opponents it’s always better when you win it.
"Now there is three teams, but we will work until the last day to try and win it.
"I feel good this year. We’ve started 2014 with a new energy, and that’s good because we’re going to have to be at a high level from now on.
"We have tried not to let [the Rosell issue] destabilise us. Our structure remains the same."
